State Election Results - Highlights:

Possible coalition to form the government:
The Left became the largest party in a state for the second time, after the 2019 Thuringian state election. This was the first election in Berlin since 1990 where the SPD or CDU were not the first placed party. Since the AfD is subject to the German firewall policy, and the CDU also rejects The Left, three other parties need to cooperate to form a coalition. Both the SPD and the Greens have signalled a willingness to join a coalition with The Left.
